Laser hair removal has become one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in the United States. The process of laser hair removal has continued to improve as the laser technology has improved. It is today by far the most widely used high-tech method for hair removal. Laser hair removal techniques provide an extremely fast treatment time with little discomfort and less pain as compared to other hair removal methods like waxing. It provides long-lasting effects and since lasers work on removing multiple follicles at a single time, the process is much faster than other similar techniques.

The Fotona Nd:YAG laser has the depth of penetration necessary to reach hair follicles without causing collateral damage to the skin. Laser energy is attracted to hemoglobin that nourishes the hair follicle, and the melanin in hair within the follicle.
